About Jenna Philpott
I am an artist consumed with the light, the line, and the beauty of the mark. My friends and family deeply love me in the here and now, tho I doubt I will be remembered in any way at all 300 years in the future. I am surprised and enchanted by the beauty of the ordinary. Scars are ordinary. So is paper, and time passing, and even a ceramic mug. These things can all be very ordinary and somehow also very beautiful.
I’m a radical friend, a story collector, and a plant lover. I am also Chief Belly Scratcher for my two Scottie dogs and perennial advocate for my four kids who all have varying expressions of dyslexia and kind, creative hearts.
I am a maker of things except a tidy house. I manage worries by cracking jokes, trying new things and walking with friends. I am a Breast Cancer survivor; diagnosed during Oregon’s forest fires at the beginning of the pandemic. Tell me your story and I will tell you mine.
